Nephrolepis Exaltata Aurea – Golden Fern – Boston Fern
One of the many reasons why we love the monsoon season. There are lush green plants and tall grass everywhere and ferns and mosses can be seen growing wild on random walls and rocks.
I picked up this little guy from a recent trip where this was growing in between rocks next to the road.
Even though I’ve had many failed attempts of growing ferns foraged from the wild, this one looks promising so far.
As can be seen, there is a few new growth coming up. The unrolling fronds of a fern plant are called fiddleheads. Which is also the edible part in some varieties of wild ferns.
